Helping Enderlin Area Residents Thrive (HEART)
The Enderlin Wellness Center is incorporated under the HEART (Helping Area Residents Thrive) program.
HEART is a grass roots, neighbors-helping-neighbors volunteer-based program that serves elders who are 65 and older living in the Enderlin/ Sheldon area regardless of ability to pay. HEART also arranges for fee-for-service providers.
HEART meets with elders, their families and caregivers to evaluate the situation, identify strengths, help make plans to assure halth, and safety and high quality of life for elders in their own homes.
HEART provides community-based advocacy, support and referrals to local resources, skilled home health care, volunteers and caregivers respite for elders, their families and caregivers.

Carol Christensen and Debbie Taylor are both part of the HEART program as a SHIC (Senior Health Insurance Counseling) program to assist seniors in our area with questions and concerns regarding medical bills, insurance and filing a variety of paperwork. All services are free and confidential.
